Description of house:
The stone house, while only available for viewing, was built in the Dutch style around 1750, and consists of "rubble stone", the stone that was found in the fields by the Dutch farmers. It has original beams spanning the width of the downstairs, and still has the original wide plank pine flooring.
The Dutch barn addition, (which is the rental space) is an authentic antique Dutch barn, converted into residential use. It is approximately 2800 square feet in dimension, and has the original wood beams and posts dating back to 1765-1790. The space is quite dramatic, evidenced by the approximate 35 foot ceilings in the main room, has radiant heat, A/C, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (with towel warmers), a small gym and an entertainment room. Additionally, renters get their own keys, and the space has its own entrance separate from the stone house.

Area description and things nearby:
Hellbrook Farms is located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, about 1/2 mile from the Hudson River. Within the 50 acres of property, there is a year-round active brook that flows through almost a quarter mile of the land. The two miles of trails are easily walkable, and park-like as they are maintained year-round. For the slightly more adventurous, we have rolling hills on the property which house our apple orchard and afford amazing views. Wildlife is abundant, as great herons, turkeys, deer, woodchucks, and assorted birds make their home on our land. We even have occasional turtles visit, and fish are almost always visible from our bridge which you cross to enter the driveway. Nearby we have sailing and swimming in the Hudson River, several historical structures in Kingston and New Paltz, and numerous restaurants run by graduates of the Culinary Institute, which is about 1/2 hour drive.
